Co-founder, editor in chief, and BU head of Business Next media, www.bnext.com.tw, established in 1999 in Taiwan focusing on hi-tech and internet economy.

During John’s over 30 year career as journalist and editor, he covered various area, from semiconductor, computer, communication, software to internet. He has done one on one interviews with numerous industry heavyweight leaders, including Bill Gates, Andy Grove, Larry Ellison, John Chambers, Michael Dell, Steve Wozniak, Jerry Yang, and Jack Ma.

In addition, he has also done quite a few international special reports exploring the competitive edge of countries like Israel, Finland, Singapore, and South Korea regarding their respective technology development.

John got his bachelor’s degree in Power Mechanical Engineering in Tsinghua University, and his master’s degree in Journalism in Taiwan University.

曾多次進行國際深度報導，涵蓋矽谷、以色列、芬蘭、新加坡和韓國。2003至2020移居上海工作，先後於當地創辦三本財經和設計類雜誌，並跨足文創投資項目，擔任外灘五號樓總經理。

著有<前進未來空間：臺灣網際網路使用報告>（天下雜誌出版）和<哦，原來中國是這樣>（遠流出版社），2022年底剛出版<從荒漠到雨林: 新創之島的關鍵10年>(數位時代出版)。譯作有<科技頑童沃茲尼克>（ 遠流出版社）

畢業於清華大學動力機械系和台灣大學新聞研究所。曾任上海對外經貿大學客座教授。
