Chih-I Wu

吳志毅

VP and Senior Expert / ITRI

Dr. Chih-I Wu is the VP and Senior Expert at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), as well as a professor in Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics and Department of Electrical Engineering of National Taiwan University. He was the General Director of Electronic and Optoelectronic System Research Laboratories, ITRI, from 2015 to 2022. His research is mainly on 2D material and devices, organic optoelectronics, metal-semiconductor interfaces, and heterojunctions. Prior to joining NTU, he worked at Component Research Lab of Intel in the US from 2000 to 2004. His work at Intel was mainly on developing the advanced VLSI process technology, such as Cu and low k interconnects, metal gate materials, and atomic layer deposition process. Dr. Wu got his B.S. degree from National Taiwan University and M.S. degree from Northwestern University, both in Physics. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Wu has published more than 200 journal papers, which have been cited for over ten thousand times.

現任工業技術研究院資深專家,同時擔任臺灣大學,同時擔任臺灣大學電機系暨光電所教授教授。曾於2015至2022年間擔任工研院電子與光電系統研究所所長。主要研究領域包括二維材料與元件、有機光電、金屬半導體界面及異質結。在任教臺大前,他於2000至2004年間任職於美國英特爾元件研究實驗室,主導銅與低介電常數(low-k)互連、金屬閘極材料及原子層沉積(ALD)等先進超大型積體電路(VLSI)製程技術開發。吳博士擁有臺灣大學物理學士、美國西北大學物理碩士及普林斯頓大學電機工程博士學位,發表超過200篇期刊論文,被引用次數上萬次。
