Violinist / San Francisco Conservatory of Music/Freelance Violinist

Aleksi Zaretsky is a freelance violinist and teacher based in San Francisco. Aleksi has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, SFJAZZ, the Monterey Symphony, and Ensemble Mik Nawooj. In 2023, he won a Grammy with the New York Youth Symphony for Best Orchestral Performance. Aleksi has recorded on the Pentatone and Avie record labels and has been featured on PBS, CNN, and KDFC.

Aleksi is currently pursuing his masters degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) under Simon James. At SFCM, Aleksi serves as concertmaster of the conservatory orchestra and leads interactive community engagement performances, bringing music to alternative local settings. He also teaches privately in San Francisco. Aleksi currently plays on a 1901 Rodolfo Fredi violin, generously on loan from the Chimei Museum in Tainan, Taiwan.

亞列克西目前就讀於舊金山音樂學院(San Francisco Conservatory of Music, SFCM)碩士班,師從小提琴家賽門·詹姆斯(Simon James)。在學院中,他擔任管弦樂團首席,並積極帶領互動式社區音樂推廣演出,將音樂帶入多元的在地場域。他同時亦在舊金山提供私人小提琴教學。亞列克西目前所使用的小提琴為 1901 年製的羅多夫·弗雷迪(Rodolfo Fredi)作品,由台南奇美博物館慷慨出借。
